THREE young farmers from Pembrokeshire represented county and country at the Great Yorkshire Show and proved their stockjudging prowess against Britain's best.
The show hosts the national final of the national federation's dairy stockjudging competitions.
Leading the team was Charles George of Fishguard YFC in the 26 and under age group, with Rhys James of Llysyfran YFC, and Robbie Reed Griffiths of Llawhaden YFC, competing in the 21 and under and 16 and under categories respectively.
Their keen stockmanship and reliable reasons secured the team the red card and top spot in the competition with individual success for Charles winning his category.
Meanwhile closer to home members have been topping up on their stockjudging taking full advantage of a competition run as part of the Cardigan Show.
Members took part in dairy, sheep and pig stockjudging with fantastic results.
In the dairy intermediates section Poppy Lewis, Llawhaden, came third.
In the pig junior section third was Carys Howell, Llawhaden, while in the senior section it was a clean sweep for Pembrokeshire with first for Betsan Williams, Hermon, second for Eleri George, Keyston, and third for Jac Williams, Hermon.
The sheep junior section was won by Caryl Davies, Eglwyswrw, and second was Sara Edwards, Llysyfran. In the senior section second was Jac Williams, Hermon, and third was Betsan Williams, Hermon.
