One lucky horse is going to be as snug as a bug this winter after its owner won a top of the range rug in a competition run by her local agricultural co-operative.
Meryl Jones, of Pantygrwndy Fach, Cardigan, scooped first prize in a draw run by Clynderwen and Cardiganshire Farmers during an equine open evening held at its Cardigan branch.
She was also presented with a body warmer and voucher to spend on CCF's extensive range of horse feeds.
Mrs Jones, who has several horses, said she did all her equine shopping at the Cardigan branch because it stocked everything she needed.
"Whether it's tack, horsewear or feed that I'm after, it's all here. The branch has even started stocking rings for jumping poles," said Mrs Jones, whose sons, 14-year-old Mark and Jamie, aged five, received the prizes on her behalf.
The equine open evening coincided with the launch of the winter range of Weatherbeeta products, a brand which CCF joined forces with at the beginning of the year. It was also an opportunity for customers to hear about the new range of horse feeds which will be launched in the new year.
Katy Evans, a member of CCF's equine sales team, said sales of equine products had increased significantly since the new store had opened at Cardigan last December.
"Sales are improving on a monthly basis," she said.
There were also prizes for runners-up in the competition.
Second prize of goods to the value of £50 went to Soo Phillips, of Dolbont, Nevern, while Laura Biddyr, of Allt-y-Coed, St Dogmaels, won goods up to the value of £25.
Similar equine events will be held in the future at CCF's branches in Aberystwyth, Johnston, Knighton and Gaerwen.
