Three farmers have been milking their successful businesses.
At the Pembrokeshire County Show, dairy farmers Jamie Adams and Will Prichard were congratulated by president John Lewis on the success of their new venture, Will and Jamie’s Fresh Yogurt Drinks.
The story of their new venture features in the latest edition of Pembrokeshire Farmer, available now.
Also, Pembrokeshire-based Welsh Labour rural affairs spokesman AM Joyce Watson has visited the farm which produces the award-winning organic Daioni milk drinks.
She spent an afternoon touring the on-site facilities, including the very latest advances in milking, speaking to the staff, viewing some of the dairy herd and listening to the concerns of the owners Laurence and Eira Harris, of Ffosyficer, Abercych, Boncath.
She listened to explanations of the work that goes into running 3,000 acres on 14 different sites, and was very impressed at the team’s dedication to producing high quality products in Pembrokeshire.
Speaking after the visit she said: “I learned so much about the organic dairy process and had a genuine opportunity to ask questions and see at first hand the real, behind the scenes work that goes into producing a highly valued product.
“Witnessing the dedication and hard work that goes into producing the goods, it is little wonder, that they have won so many awards. They certainly put their hearts and souls into their work and deserve all the acclaim they receive as a consequence.”
