Genus technician Colin Porter enjoys the best of the Pembrokeshire countryside as he travels from farm to farm, so it's not surprising that on his days off he pulls on his walking boots to help others appreciate the beauty of the county's landscape and wildlife.
Generations of Colin's family have been involved in agriculture, which has nurtured his love of the countryside to the point where he has established a business leading distance walks.
Aptly named Walka-Longway, he leads small groups on walking-based activities through the best of the Pembrokeshire countryside.

His target market isn't experienced walkers.
"It's about taking people who are new to walking and introducing them to it in an environment they feel safe in, to give them the confidence to go out on their own," said Colin, of Bwthyn Clofer, Wiston.
"The walks I enjoy the most are across the Preseli Hills or walking along the river from Canaston Bridge."
Colin's passion for walking has its roots in his childhood when he would walk three miles a day to school and back.
"My philosophy is if you don't need to get somewhere in a hurry you might as well walk," he added.
"It's a great way to get out in the fresh air, to get fit and get a real sense of achievement."
His links with the agricultural community are such that when walkers ask for accommodation suggestions he always refers them to farmers who offer farmhouse bed and breakfast.
Colin, who worked as a herdsman on a Pembrokeshire dairy farm before joining Genus as an AI technician, leads daily excursions of up to six miles.
"I love the countryside and sharing the landscape with others," he said. "You don't have to go to the highest peaks to get the best views, it doesn't matter where you are in Pembrokeshire or which way you turn there are good views."
Colin admits that working with people can be very similar to working with cattle.
"When you are working with cattle you have to be a step ahead of them, it's no different with people," he laughed.
