A traffic calming scheme in Haverfordwest has caused as many problems as it has solved, according to two county councillors.
A traffic build-out was placed on Scarrowscant Lane several months ago to try to reduce the speed of traffic on the busy road.
"It just hasn't worked," said councillors David Bryan and Peter Stock, whose wards are divided by Scarrowscant Lane.
"It has just caused tailbacks to the Horsefair roundabout and extra problems for residents trying to enter and leave their drives."
The councillors say they have spoken with countless residents and motorists in the area, collating complaints.
"We have discussed the responses with Ian Westley (Pembrokeshire County Council's director of highways and transportation) and are aiming to achieve a solution to the existing traffic problems."
The councillors want the build-out to be removed and speed cushions and a 20mph speed limit introduced.
