The Riverside Play Area next to Morrisons supermarket, Haverfordwest, was set ablaze last week when vandals deliberately lit two fires.
One bin was set alight on Thursday evening and the flames badly damaged the surrounding fence and nearby trees.
Haverfordwest fire crews were called to the scene at 7.37pm on after thirteen 999 calls were received.
The park on Bridge Meadow Lane is owned and maintained by the Bridge Meadow Trust, which is part of Haverfordwest Town Council.
The town council clerk and secretary for the Bridge Meadow Trust, Jane Clark, said: "We are appalled at the level of vandalism that occurs at the park on a fairly regular basis.
"Usually it is just smashed bottles and litter. We are trying our best to provide a facility for the town but these two incidents have caused about £1000 worth of damage."
County councillor for the area, Tom Tudor, said: "I am disappointed at this act of mindless vandalism."
The second fire was also in a bin at the young childrens' section of the park.
"It shows a total lack of respect for the environment and the facilities that are made available," added Cllr Tudor, who believes the Riverside Play Area is the best maintained park in the town.
