A man who wielded a meat cleaver and a kitchen knife in a fight with his neighbours has had his case delayed after an administrative error by the Probation Service.
Steven David McHugh has already pleaded guilty to affray and possession of bladed instruments, but his case has been delayed because of an administrative error which has prevented the Probation Service producing an assessment.
McHugh, aged 31, of 1 Chestnut Way, Mount Estate had his case adjourned at Haverfordwest magistrates court on Thursday.
Nick Newton, prosecuting, said the case arose from an incident on August 5th when McHugh threatened two neighbours living in an adjacent flat.
A police armed response team and dog handlers were called to the scene.
Mark Layton, who applied for a change in the bail conditions to allow McHugh to return home, said there was no likelihood of a breach.
The magistrates renewed McHugh's bail on the conditions that he would not drink in a public place, enter Milford Haven or a licensed property and that he would co-operate with the Probation Service.
The case was adjourned until October 27th.
