Emergency services around Pembrokeshire have reported a relatively uneventful Black Friday, with most police stations saying that the evening was surprisingly quiet.
Pembroke Dock police station reported that they had "hardly any" incidents at all. Milford Haven said that there were a lot of people about but that there were "no major incidents" and "nothing untoward" to report.
"It was reasonably good and we had no more incidents than usual for a Friday night," said a spokeswoman.
In Tenby and Saundersfoot there were a lot of people out and about but police said that the crowds were quite well behaved. "It was a pleasant surprise," said an officer.
Narberth also reported no problems. "It was very good in Narberth," said an officer. "We had high visibility patrols and no problems. It was wonderful."
Police in Haverfordwest said a lot of people were out but that people had been pretty well behaved.
"We had 11 people in custody overnight," said Inspector Russell Smith. That is on a par with an average Friday night. It was not as bad as we expected. We were pleasantly surprised.
"We had an action plan last night. High visibility patrols supported by special constables were on the streets and we even had an officer in the accident and emergency ward of the hospital."
A spokesman for the ambulance service said that they received 30 emergency calls in Pembrokeshire last night. She said that this was more than an average Friday night, but was not able to reveal how many of these were alcohol related.
