Dear editor - With regard to Martello Quays, Pembroke Dock, I was a little disappointed with the recent exhibition of the development. A scale model would have been easier to understand.
There was a comment in your newspaper about the development "taking away the character of the town".
What is Pembroke Dock's character? Dimond Street with its Woolworths (with half the sign missing) and cheap pound shop (with its nice green mould above the sign), along with the empty shops and numerous surrounding take-aways?
Or is it an enlivened Dimond Street and Meyrick Street, feeding off the exciting plans for all that grey mud? Somewhere to stroll around during the day or evening in a safe and comfortable environment?
The character of Pembroke Dock needs to change. Bring it on!
Michael Henderson Bush Street, Pembroke Dock.
