Seminar was worth having

Dear editor - Regarding the article Protest against private seminar' (page 2, March 19th).

It failed to mention that the seminar had resulted from a question to the full council in December 2007 by myself and Councillor Alun Byrne, who wanted reassurance that all possible safety measures were in place before the first LNG tanker arrived.

An outcome of the seminar was an undertaking to inform the public around the haven, where more than 30,000 people live.
