Dear editor - We recently had our disabled son Mark at home for two weeks and after he returned to care, my husband and I did something we have wanted to do for a long time - we walked right around Llys-y-fran dam, all seven miles of it.
This may not seem remarkable, but when you have been carers for 46 years you really appreciate your free time.
I would like to thank the staff for keeping the paths in good shape and for the table in a wonderful spot where we had our lunch. In a week or so there will be masses or bluebells and foxgloves, so if you have the opporunity, do it - it took us till we reached our 70s!
