YSGOL Bro Gwaun’s annual prize and certificate evening was held on April 7, celebrating the success of past and present pupils.

Alison Jenkins, chairman of the governing body welcomed everyone to the event, including Jake Morgan, Pembrokeshire County Council’s director for children and schools.

The guest speaker was past pupil Matthew Jenkins, who urged the students to grasp every opportunity they have in life.

YBG headteacher Nerys Nicholas thanked everyone for the support they had given the school, enabling it to move forward in the provision and care delivered to its pupils.

The head prefects recollected the extra-curricular activities of the past year, and a vote of thanks was given by the deputy head prefects.

The prizes were presented by members of the school's senior management team: Mr Andrews, Miss Bowen and Matthew Jenkins.
