THE Oak were the question setters in the latest round of the Pembroke and Pembroke Dock LVA quiz.

It was an average scoring week with the closest match at the Charlton where their A side lost by one point to Station A.

Alma B just failed to win the dogfight in the league basement tussle against Charlton B.

The First and Last’s winning run came to an end at the hands of the Alma A with the home side going down by just four points, while at the Naval Club, the home side had a convincing victory over St Govan’s Inn A.

League leaders Station B took on the Golf Club where the former, top scorers on the night, took the lead from round one and cemented their place at the top of the league.

Second place Cosh Brewery made a superb second half recovery against St Govan’s B to keep the pressure on at the top.

The night’s results were: Naval Club 69, St Govan’s Inn A 42; Alma B 57, Charlton B 63; First and Last 58, Alma A 62; Charlton A 60, Station A 61; Station B 73, Golf Club 67; St Govan’s Inn B 60, Cosh Brewery 66.

After this round the top of the table stands: Station B on 48 points, followed by Cosh Brewery on 47, Station A on 45, First and Last on 42, Alma A 42, and Naval Club 35.
