PEMBROKE Probus Club held a minute silence at their meeting on Tuesday, April 15.
The silence followed the news that long-standing club member Joe Griffiths had died after a long period of incapacitation following a stroke.
Club president Robert Gorman welcomed new member George Mathias, of Carew, a very well known and respected member of the farming community.
The club is planning a trip to the Gwaun Valley, as well as its annual sports day.
Mr Gorman gave a talk about his memories of his former home at West Drayton, about a mile from Heathrow.
The club would welcome new members. For more information on the dates and times of future meetings call 01646 622385.
