AFTER a break of nearly 15 years, duck racing is to return to Freshwater East beach.

On the evenings of Friday, August 8 and Friday, August 15, the beach will host duck racing and family activities from 4pm to 7pm.

All proceeds will be going to the Wales Air Ambulance and Paul Sartori Foundation.

Organisers include twins Sarah and Gemma Colley, Val Lloyd, Peter Bowling and other members of Freshwater East’s community.

The duck races will take place on the stream running to the beach. There will be a BBQ, a sand castle competition, face painting, a raffle, and stalls by Paul Satori and the Welsh Air Ambulance.

Local businesses have offered winning prizes for each duck race and organisers are hoping for a large turnout to raise money for the two worthy charities.

All welcome. Any volunteers who would like to help in any way are also welcome. For more information contact Peter Bowling on 01646 672295.
