A CHEQUE for more than £2,000 was presented to Pembrokeshire Action To Combat Hardship last week.

The money was raised through a grand charity raffle and auction organised by PATCH fundraiser Rachel Morgan of Letterston.

The auction took place at the Farmer’s Arms in Mathry on Saturday, July 12 where a series of friendly bidding wars raised an incredible total of £1,281.

The grand raffle raised £949.80 and the draw was made at the Gwaun Garage, where Rachel works, on Friday, July 25.

Rachel said: “Thank you to everyone who helped out, bought tickets and donated prizes. The people of Pembrokeshire are absolutely amazing.”

PATCH coordinator Tracy Olin said the money is desperately needed at the moment.

“I cannot express our gratitude,” she said. “Many people in horrible situations of poverty will be helped by Rachel, Tom and all her family at the Gwaun Garage,

“Thank you seems too small a word for all of your hard work and inconvenience.”
