DURING the packed schedule of the 2014 Pembrokeshire County Show, time was made to mark the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War.

Located on the grass verge outside the President’s Marquee, and surrounded by flowers and poppies, a white cross to commemorate Pembrokeshire’s fallen servicemen was dedicated by the Chaplain Canon Geoffrey Gwyther.

Dick Davies, President of the Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society, laid a Centenary wreath, accompanied by the County Show Lady Ambassador, Miss Tania Hancock of Camrose.

The Haverfordwest Branch of the Royal British Legion Men's and Ladies Sections Standards were paraded by Frank Jenkins and Trish Hall.

The Ladies Section Chairwoman Joan Thomas and Men's Section representative Ken Humphreys were also in attendance.
