THE Headteacher and pupils of Lamphey Primary School have been busy raising money for Ty Hafan by taking part in the 2014 Ironman Wales and Iron Kids Wales events.
A cheque for £350 was presented to the charity by Year Four pupil Dylan John. Dylan's sister Laura, a former pupils at Lamphey Primary School, who stayed at Ty Hafan on a number of occasions but sadly passed away last year.
"Everyone who knew Laura wanted to help raise money in her memory," added a spokesman for the school.
The children taking part were Shanai, Aneurin, Josh, Gracie, Hannah, Lena, Maddy, Sienna, Reuben, Caleb, Bethany, Charlotte, Carys, Kian, Dylan and Lowri, along with headmaster Simon Thomas.
"All of us who took part in the events are all very proud of our achievements but the work undertaken at Ty Hafan in the support of families is far more important," said Mr Thomas.
Ty Hafan offers care and support to seriously ill children, young people and their families.
