TO CELEBRATE Shwmae Day last Wednesday, part-time pupils in the nursery class at the Meads School, Milford Haven, had their drawings put on display at the town’s sports centre.
The school also bagged an award for its commitment to teaching Welsh as a second language at a special Shwmae awards ceremony at Pembrokeshire College.
The Pembrokeshire County Council Welsh Second Language award was presented to the school for its 'special effort to improve the Welsh ethos of the school in order to raise standards'.
The award was presented by Sue Crowley and Alan Walters from the Education department.
