PEMBROKE DOCK Mayor Peter Kraus has spoken of his delight at being invited to board the Hebridean Princess, the final cruise ship of the year to visit Pembroke Port late last month.

He was joined by Pembrokeshire County Council Chairman Wynne Evans and other civic dignitaries.

Cllr Kraus said: “We were shown around the whole ship, which was twice used by royalty. What a pleasure, it was immaculate.

Considering that the ship was built in 1964 it had no looks of wear and tear whatsoever.

“The captain even commented on the hospitality and the greeting on arrival in Pembroke Dock which was first class.

It is great to see these lovely cruise ships coming to our port, let us hope lots more will come in years to come.”
