MEMBERS of Pembroke Dock Bowling Club have been busy raising money during the club’s 90th anniversary season for a local playgroup.
The club recently presented a cheque for £1,000 to SNAP - a Special Needs Assessment Playgroup based in Pennar and Haverfordwest.
SNAP caters for children between 18 months and five years old who have a disability or developmental delay.
Club president Dian Davies and chairman Alan Yea recently presented the cheque to SNAP one-to-one teachers Helen and Miranda, accompanied by three-year-old Brooklyn, the granddaughter of club member Hugh Williams.
Brooklyn loves attending SNAP five afternoons a week where she is motivated and encouraged by her one-to-one teacher. Although Brooklyn has had a tough start to her short life she is always smiling and happy.
