PEMBROKE Dock Mayor Peter Kraus has praised the volunteers who turned up last Thursday, April 14, for the town’s monthly street clean.

The monthly street clean, which met up at the town’s Tesco store, saw a record 23 volunteers turn up to tidy up.

“I would like to say a huge thank-you to everyone who turned out for the street clean today,” said Cllr Kraus.

“It was also a special day as eight children from Pennar Community School joined us and made a huge impact.

“We were also joined by Mari Williams from Keep Wales Tidy who also did her bit and was very impressed with our monthly efforts.

“John Rolls from Showboat TV managed to see and filmed all the action.

“It was the best turnout ever, having 23 volunteers.

“Tesco hosted the refreshments after the street clean and everyone was well and truly fed and watered.

“Thank-you Sharon Bevans for everything.”

Cllr Kraus hopes the town’s public spiritedness will now extend to keep the town tidy for tomorrow’s celebrations of HM The Queen’s 90th birthday party.

“Let us now hope that our lovely town stays litter free and definitely for the Queen’s Birthday Party in Front Street on April 21, starting at 6pm.

“Once again a massive thank-you to everyone who made the day a huge success.”
