A PEMBROKE Dock student has designed a new logo for Pembrokeshire Care Society’s Action for the Homeless (PATH).

Pembrokeshire College Level 3 Interactive Media student, Dylan Evans-Mundy designed the logo when PATH approached the College looking to update their brand.

Dylan was thrilled to see his work in print for the first time: “It’s really exciting to see my logo being used and I can’t wait to see it made into a sign, I’m really pleased.”

As part of the Homelessness and Young People Participation Project, Dylan also received a £50 Amazon voucher from the Big Lottery’s Community Voice Fund which he will put towards photography equipment.

Fellow Interactive Media students, Daniel Suzuki and Tataum Charlton were runners-up, winning a £25 Amazon voucher each.

Interactive Media lecturer Denys Bassett-Jones explained how useful real-life projects are to his students: “Having a live brief in their portfolios will really help them stand out from the crowd. Dylan, Daniel and Tataum all plan to go to University so this project has given them some valuable experience. I’m really proud of them.”

Bethan Howell, Client Participation and Advice and Bond Co-ordinator from the Pembrokeshire Care Society visited the group to congratulate them on their success: “We were delighted to have College students design a new logo for PATH, we really value the voices of local young people and the group really took our values on board in their designs.”
