YOUNGSTERS at Pennar School had a flavour of the American institution of the prom for the third year running recently, when Friends of Pennar School organised a Year Six leavers party.
The party, which saw the youngsters, dressed up to the nines, arrive in style at Pennar Hall, where there was plenty of entertainment, including a disco, once again provided by Lionel Nutting.
Headteacher Damon Mcgarvie later announced the prom queen and king; Chloe Beynon and Dylan Rowe.
Helpers were Michele Wiggins, Adrian and Helena Holland, Helen Rowe, Kim Styles, Adele Newman, Maggie Wilcox, Emma Evans, Sarah John and Andrea Lay.
Michele Wiggins, of the Friends of Pennar School, said: “When the children left they got a certificate from friends of Pennar and a bracelet from Jake Holland, which he made.
“They were lovely children, they had two chocolate fountains, a popcorn maker, a disco and a green screen, and there were cakes and sandwiches.”
