PEMBROKE Dock’s Tesco store recently staged a spook-tacular Hallowe'en event, raising nearly £300 for two charities.

Pembroke Dock town councillor Peter Kraus, who helped organise a face-painter, said: “I would like to say a massive thank-you to Tara Jenkins from Sparkle Beauty, who came along to Pembroke Dock Tesco and did absolutely fantastic face painting on so many children’s faces, it was a pleasure to watch a real expert at work. You should be with the TV companies and film stars.”

The event was held to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation and the Diabetes Society.

Cllr Kraus added: “Once again, thank-you so much; a mention also to Lionel Nutting who played lots and lots of songs during the day and he sure did us proud, everyone was singing coming in the store and going out, cannot be bad.

“Also thanks to the fantastic staff at Tesco who went the extra mile to dress up for the occasion.

“Sharon Bevans you have struck gold again, you are a star. Where would we be without these fantastic fundraisers and Tesco.”

A total of £280.19 was raised.
