Snowman Festival

CHRISTMAS is coming, and so are the snowmen.

Well, at least they are in St Twynnells.

This year there is going to be a Snowman Festival in the village church. In order to raise funds for both the church and the village hall a novel festival is being held from December 14-18. There will be many snowman scenes decorating the church as well as a family carol service on Friday the 15th at 6pm, arranged by Gloria Stenson.

It will also provide an opportunity to welcome new vicar Rev Josh Maynard to the district.

The festival is open 10.30am-5pm.

Snowmen of all shapes and sizes will be attending and refreshments will be available, with lots of home-cooked cakes.

When planning an event the residents of St Twynnells village remembered that Pauline Ball, who had been unwell at that time, had wanted to have a winter wonderland type of festival the previous year. They decided that she might enjoy this Snowman event and it is being held in her honour.

Pauline and her family are producing a snowman scene too.
