Å@ COFFEE MORNING Bookings are now being taken for sales tables at Whitland Town Hall's Easter coffee morning on Saturday April 16th from noon to 4pm. There will also be raffles, with an Easter bonnet competition being judged at 3pm. To book a table, at £6, contact 01994 240053., COUNCIL'S COSTS Whitland Town Council has met with a gloomy response to its raffle to raise money to raise money for the town’s Christmas lights. The raffle brought in just £14, with the lighting bill standing at £6,000. The council also faces the costs this year of £3,349.01 for footway lighting and repairs to the CCTV of £1,059. The council feels that it is important to retain the CCTV as it help to monitor and keep safe the main street in Whitland.

LIBRARY PLEA The town hall committee has put out a 'use it or lose it' plea to help retain Whitland library. The library is open on Mondays, 4pm- 6.30pm; Tuesdays, 10am-noon; Fridays 1.30pm–4.30pm and Saturdays, 10am-noon. Contact 01994 241101 or whitlandlibrary@hotmail.com for further information. As well as books, the library provides free internet access, videos and cds.
