THE future of a young Fishguard footballer is looking bright after she held talks with Reading FC about playing for them when she is older.
14-year-old Jasmin Reynolds began playing football in Mathry primary school and has progressed through fun football sessions at Fishguard Leisure Centre, 5x60 sessions at Ysgol Bro Gwaun, and now plays for Fishguard Girls FC
In September she attended trials in Carmarthen and got selected to play for West Wales. She trains with the squad on Friday evenings and has already played a few games with them, notching up an impressive goals tally.
5x60 officer at Ysgol Bro Gwaun, Dan Bellis said: "Jasmin is progressing really well, and it is credit to her ability and more importantly her attitude and dedication towards training and matches that she is doing so well. A big thanks must go to Jasmin’s parents who are a constant support transporting Jasmin and other girls to training and matches."
