PLANS have been announced to give Goodwick Post Office a much-needed facelift.

Customers are set to benefit from a new, fully modernised branch with longer opening hours, with services being available from 7.30am to 6pm Monday to Saturday, and 7.30am to 1pm on Sunday.

They will also be able to carry out a wide range of Post Office services, including automated banking, bill and budget payment schemes, Post Office card account, Postal Orders and postage.

Post Office area network manager for Wales, Sue Whittall, said: “I am delighted to announce news of an important investment in our service in Goodwick. We know how important the Post Office service is to the community and we feel sure that our customers old and new will welcome the fresh design, modern open plan format and extended opening hours. This move will help secure Post Office services in the area for the future.”

The proposed date on which the new service will be introduced will be in May 2014.

It is envisaged that the branch may need to close for three days during May for the necessary refurbishment works to be completed.

During this period customers can access services at Fishguard Post Office.
