THE holiday season has officially started in Fishguard and Goodwick, with the arrival of the first welcomed coach visit.

The Chamber of Trade and Tourism has been working hard to develop links with UK tour operators, inviting more than 160 coach companies to come and visit the twin towns.

The first coach arrived last week, fromAll Year Round Holidays based in south Yorkshire.

The group was staying in St Florence, and came for a day out in Fishguard and Goodwick.

They were welcomed by the Chamber and took in the sights of The Last Invasion Tapestry, the Sea Life Centre and Ocean Lab, followed by a walk along the Parrog.

The Chamber has also been developing tourism links across the Irish Sea. Members recently led a group visit to County Wexford to discuss joint projects.
