FOLLOWING hotly on the heels of her previous Pembrokeshire novels, Fishguard author Patricia Watkins has penned a new psychological thriller.

Voyage into Limbo is a story about Colwyn Yeats, an expert sailor and Afghanistan war veteran.

He is set to spend his summer aboard a research vessel, but the trip is cancelled at the last moment, leaving him at a loose end. Fortune arrives when an old college pal appears and Yeats agrees to act as skipper to him and his friends on a transatlantic voyage.

But Yeats later finds himself alone on a rocky shore amidst the wreckage of a boat suffering from amnesia. The reader must then follow him on his journey as he attempts to rediscover his identity.

Voyage into Limbo is Patricia’s fifth Pembrokeshire based novel. The others have all received excellent reviews and can be purchased on Amazon, Kindle and in local book stores.

Patricia was brought up in Tenby before emigrating to the United States, where she lived for more than 40 years before returning to Wales in 2003.

She said: “Like many other new novelists, I spent several years trying, without luck, to find an agent, so when I was finally told bluntly that unless I already had a track record of successful novels under my belt, or was a celebrity, I stood no chance of ever finding either agent or publisher.

“I looked into publishing my own books, and that's what I've been doing ever since - that and walking my much-loved Tibetan Terrier, Millie.”
