LOCAL Assembly Member Paul Davies recently paid a visit to Jig-So outreach session in St Dogmaels to hear more about the support services available to local families.
Jig-So was established in 1992 to meet the needs of children aged 0-14 years and their families. It offers an opportunity for local parents to come together, along with support groups and parenting programmes.
Following his visit, Mr Davies said: “I was delighted to visit the Jig-So session and to learn more about the programmes on offer to parents. The Jig-So staff do a fantastic job in supporting local parents in an informal friendly setting. I was particularly impressed with the range of programmes and workshops that are available, such as first aid course and even fire safety courses.”
He added: “The value of these courses to families is invaluable. Not only are the parents learning important safety lessons, but they are also developing team-building, problem-solving and confidence skills along the way. I would highly recommend the Jig-So session to parents in north Pembrokeshire."
Linda Grace, chairman of trustees for Jig-So said: “I’d like to thank Paul for his continued support for Jig-so, which is very much appreciated. I’d also like to thank St Dogmaels Community Council for their support and funding, which has enabled our outreach team to deliver a range of diverse services to North Pembrokeshire.”
