The first Remembrance Day wreath was laid at Goodwick's new war memorial on Sunday. The memorial was commissioned by the Royal British Legion as part of the First World War centenary commemorations. It was made out of local garreggwyn stone and Goodwick brick by local sculptor Darren Yeadon and unveiled on November 1st.
A parade led by the ROAB, and involving groups of local cadets, left from the memorial to a service of remembrance at St Peter's Church.
"We had great support from local people and organisations," said Royal British Legion branch chairman Cllr Gwilym Price.
"It went extremely well and was extremely well attended. Hopefully we will establish a tradition and continue to do this every year."
A service was also held at Fishguard Harbour to remember those who lost their lives onboard the St Patrick, St David and St Andrew during the Second World War.
