FISHGUARD and District Round Table broke its Children in Need fundraising record last week, after managing to collect an incredible £3,000.
Members held their annual bridge toll collection in Lower Town on Friday, November 14, encouraging passing motorists to contribute to their buckets.
The collection started at the break of dawn and continued well into the night, with Allan Cresswell spending no less than 10 hours on duty.
The £3,034 raised, combined with the past totals, means the Round Table has now donated more than £13,000 to Children in Need.
“The generosity of motorists, passers-by and the residents of Lower Town throughout the day has been truly overwhelming", said chairman Robin Baker.
“We had a good feeling throughout the day that this year’s collection was going to be one of the best and the outcome didn’t disappoint”.
