A MAGNIFICENT £1400 was raised by Marks & Spencer staff during their first weekend of fundraising fun for Break Through Breast Cancer and Prostate Cancer UK.

Around 50 staff members will take part in an extreme rowing challenge, organised by section co-ordinators Andy Zambas and Carly Hanks, which will see them row the equivalent of the Atlantic – 2575 kilometres.

Generous customers supported those working hard on the rowing machines, kindly loaned by Sir Thomas Picton School, as well as enjoying music from Tom ‘Kiwi Funk’ Colquhoun and Leighton ‘Late Knight’ Jenkins.

The team will be back outside the Haverfordwest store this Friday and Saturday and hope to raise even more for the two charities.
