A SKYDIVING Haverfordwest mum raised nearly £500 for two charities very close to her heart.
Georgina Horton-Jones’ daughter, Isabella, has a rare type of primordial dwarfism called Russell Silver Syndrome(RSS). Isabella is one of only two people in Wales with RSS, and her case is even rarer due to a genetic variation which affects only 10% of people with the condition.
To say ‘thank you’ for their help, Georgina will split £464 between Child Growth Foundation (CGF) UK and UNIQUE.
“Without CGF’s support, knowledge and research Isabella would still be undiagnosed,” said Georgina. “UNIQUE supports families coming to terms with a diagnosis of a rare chromosome disorder. I’ve sent the money to UNIQUE, but will present CGF a cheque at their annual convention in September.”
