HAVERFORDWEST Leisure Centre has scored highly in a national quality assessment scheme.

Quest - the UK Quality scheme for sport and leisure - is designed by the industry, for the industry, to help leisure teams improve the quality of service they provide customers.

The popular county town Centre was rated Quest Plus-Good, by Quest’s independent assessors.

In particular, the assessors highlighted the Centre’s swimming lessons, lifeguarding and health and safety management - which were all scored as ‘Excellent’.

Over the last year, the Centre has been subject to several mystery visits and been rigorously assessed - over two days - in aspects of leisure management.

Sian Fair, Centre Manager, said the high score was a fantastic achievement and the result of a real team effort.

“Quest is much more than a tick box exercise, it is an ongoing programme to improve our facility for both staff and customers, and a great way to demonstrate our achievements,” she added.

Chris Payne, Pembrokeshire Leisure Services Manager, said: “By meeting Quest’s high standards, Haverfordwest Leisure Centre has shown its commitment to providing quality facilities and service to its customers.”
