Tabernacle Schoolroom Community Centre is celebrating a significant funding boost which will help with refurbishment.

The SITA Trust has earmarked £12,945 for Tabernacle Community Centre refurbishment which includes re-plastering works, decorating, refurbishment of the kitchen and installation of a new cooker.

Rev Christopher Gillham, chairman of the Trustees, who is leading the project said: “This grant will make a huge difference to us. It enables us to bring the facilities of the Community Centre up to a first rate standard that will be of enormous benefit to the many organisations who use our building. We are delighted to see the project underway and give our sincere thanks to SITA Trust."

Jools Granville of SITA Trust added: “We are delighted to have been able to support this project through the Landfill Communities Fund and look forward to seeing the benefits it will bring to the community.”

SITA Trust provides grants through the Landfill Communities Fund. This important source of funding has been available since 1997 and has provided such worthy projects with more than £1.3 billion.
