A MEMORIAL tractor run on Easter Saturday raised £1236.35 for the Wales Air Ambulance charity.

Sixty-nine modern and classic tractors set off from Crundale Community Centre, travelled a scenic route through Slebech Park and made their way to the finish at The Cross Inn, Clarbeston Road.

The run was dedicated to the memory of Bryan “Morgan the Moon” Morgan, one of the main organisers of the event who died in October last year, aged 73.

The local response to the run was outstanding, with donated food provided at the start and funds collected from entry fees, donations, and a raffle with donated prizes.

The money was presented to representatives of Wales Air Ambulamce on Saturday (April 11) at the home of one of the organisers in Crundale, with pride of place going to one of the tractors from the event.

“There was such a lot of feeling and goodwill surrounding the event,” said Simon Moffett, a friend of Bryan’s. “The only sad thing was that Bryan wasn’t there. He would have absolutely loved it.”
