BUDDING artists and designers of all ages enjoyed a range of creative workshops in the heart of Haverfordwest during Whitsun week.
The programme was put together to launch and introduce a three-year arts and regeneration initiative from The Lab.
The Lab is the brainchild of Confluence, a creative collaboration between PLANED, spacetocreate, iDeA Architects, Pembrokeshire County Council and Transition Haverfordwest.
Kicking off with the installation of five flags based on the designs of local schoolchildren, events at The Lab’s multi-purpose base - located in the section of the ex-Ocky White building facing the Cleddau - ranged from drawing and construction workshops to storytelling, talks and a guided walk around the town with international urban designer Gordon Gibson.
Pip Lewis of spacetocreate said: “It was fantastic to see people trying out new things and to listen to their views on how the town has changed, as well as hearing their ideas for the future.”
Chris Evans of iDeA Architects added that the well-attended launch programme had been “even better” than the group had hoped.
Manager of the Riverside Shopping Centre Roland Keevil said the events had created a “great atmosphere” in the county town.
