A HAVERFORDWEST man ran from the Welsh Assembly building in Cardiff to 10 Downing Street to promote peace, love and equality in his home country of Pakistan.

Maqsood Bhatti, who came to Pembrokeshire in 2007, completed the 151-mile run over the course of eight days.

“It’s time the fighting stopped,” he said. “I have written to David Cameron to try and highlight the problems in my country, but I have not got anywhere. That is why I decided to do the run.”
