THE Soroptimist International Haverfordwest and District members raised a magnificent £1,600 for Diabetes UK Wales.
President Jane Lewis recently presented national fundraising officer Joseph Cuff with the donation which was raised at a charity lunch in April, generously supported by members and guests.
Mr Cuff urged everyone to get checked for diabetes regularly and informed members that the number of people in Wales is on the rise.
Also present at the presentation was Aaron Pryce-Lewis who provided the musical entertainment with a range of songs from well known shows.
Guest speaker after the presentation dinner recently was Pam Hunt, who had been a Sound Supervisor for the BBC, before going on to form her own successful company Raw Charm.
