HEAD to Haverfordwest on Saturday (June 20) for the Skatepark’s First Anniversary SkateJam.

Organised by the Haverfordwest Skatepark Association (HSA) and the Round Table, the free event will run from 12pm to 5pm at Picton Fields and promises to be a great afternoon for all the family.

MCs from Maverick, the company that built the Skatepark, will host the day and run informal competitions.

You can browse stalls from retailers County Sports, Rat Clothing, The Pines, Oath Skateboards and Sancti Apparel, and enjoy refreshments including burgers and vegeburgers, ‘Te a Tost’, Cambrian Ice Creams and Pembrokeshire Pete’s Wood-fired pizza.

The HSA will have a stand where you can chat about the Skatepark and buy T-shirts and stickers.

Every penny raised from a raffle with excellent prizes donated by local companies - including a night at the Retreat Group’s hotels, a HeliWales helicopter ride, a Martin Williams painting, tattoo time at Molly Green's tattoo emporium and a complete Antihero skateboard from the Gentleman's Club - will go towards the upkeep and running costs of the Skatepark, which is financially reliant on local support.

As well as seeing the awesome skills of local riders and those from further afield, there will be a bouncy castle, a surf machine – with a prize for the person who stays on the longest! – an inflatable slide and temporary tattoos.

Please use Scotchwell car park if driving to the Jam. A map and event details can be found at www.haverfordwest-skatepark.co.uk or on the HSA’s Facebook page.
