A LIMITED edition football shirt signed by Wales midfielder Joe Allen is one of the prizes up for grabs in a school raffle.

Allen, who was born and raised in Pembrokeshire, donated the shirt to The Friends of Ysgol Gymraeg Glan Cleddau, Haverfordwest’s Welsh medium junior school, who have organised the fundraising endeavour.

Allen wore the shirt at Anfield, on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, when Liverpool gained a 3-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur.

The Liverpool FC shirt is a special edition in support of the Seeing is Believing charity, which raises money around the world to help eliminate avoidable blindness. It has been framed courtesy of No.37 Mirrors and Framing at Cartlett, Haverfordwest.

Additional prizes secured by the Friends of the school include a tour of the Millennium Stadium donated by the WRU, a voucher for Creative Cafe in Haverfordwest, a pass for Clerkenhill Adventure Farm, a voucher for Molly Green’s Tattoo Emporium and tickets for Anna’s Welsh Zoo.

The Friends would like to thank all sponsors, particularly Steve Allen of Portfield Dental Surgery.

To be in with a chance of winning these prizes, buy your tickets from No.37 Mirrors and Framing, Carlett, Haverfordwest or call Rachel on 07791001170. The Friends will also be selling raffle tickets at Tesco Haverfordwest during the morning of Friday, June 26.

The draw will take place at Ysgol Glan Cleddau on Monday, July 13.
