THERE are plans to relocate Post Office services in Tegryn to the Canolfan Clydau Centre this autumn.

The current agent at Tegryn is no longer able to operate the service and has handed in their resignation.

Following the appointment of a new sub-postmaster, it is proposed that a new hosted outreach service will open at the Canolfan Clydau Centre, a short distance away from the current branch.

Subject to a successful consultation, the service will relocate in September 2014.

The Post Office is inviting customers to give their comments on the move in a six week public consultation.

Lisa Barton from the Post Office said: “We understand how important having continued access to Post Office services is to residents in the area and we are confident that this new service, hosted from a community building, will make it easier for our customers to do business with us and also secure services for the future.”

During the public consultation, which closes on July 22, Post Office welcomes feedback on any issues customers would like considered before a final decision is taken on this proposal.

Submissions can be made through an online questionnaire at postofficeviews.co.uk, by entering the code 25261399.

Alternatively, submissions can be made during the consultation in writing by addressing an envelope with the words 'Freepost Your Comments’, via email to comments@postoffice.co.uk, via the customer helpline 08457 22 33 44 or textphone 08457 22 33 55.
