Step out with Diabetes UK Cymru for a charity walk

PEOPLE can still sign up to put their walking shoes on for Diabetes UK Cymru’s annual sponsored walk in Pembrokeshire.

The charity wants people to put their best feet forward to raise vital funds for its work by taking part in its Walk the Extra Mile event at Llys-y-Fran on Sunday, June 5th.

Starting at 2pm, the six-mile walk is a fun walking event for all the family and everyone who completes the route will receive a medal.

Last year around 80 people took part.

Nearly 6,000 people are now diagnosed with diabetes in Pembrokeshire.

Diabetes UK Cymru provides help, support, advice and information for people living with diabetes across Wales and their families.

Diabetes UK Cymru national director Dai Williams said: “It is a fun family-friendly event and money raised by our walkers will enable us to support the growing number of people with diabetes and their families across Wales.”
