A MILFORD Haven shop has donated money from the sale of carrier bags to a local school.
Eurospar Milford Haven donated last month’s carrier bag charge to Hakin Community School, who used the cash to buy wet weather gear for the students, so they can study outside come rain or shine.
The shop also donated 50 cereal bowls, which will be using during the children’s cooking lessons, when everybody sits together to eat.
Store manager Richard Harries presented the donations to assistant head teacher Andrea Reynolds recently
The store is also planning a donation of sports kits to the school, which will be presented later this month.
“We are trying to support the local community as much as we can. They’re our customers, and we want to give back to them,” said Eurospar owner Chris Ward.
