Members of the public are being encouraged to attend a number of community consultation events to discuss the future priorities of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority.

Like most public sector organisations, the National Park Authority is facing significant reductions in its funding over the next few years. As a result, the Authority is reviewing its future priorities and consulting as widely as possible to inform this review process.

National Park Authority Chief Executive Tegryn Jones said: “The role of the National Park Authority is to look after the Park’s landscape and wildlife, help everyone to access and enjoy it and to support the people and businesses that call it home.

“The Park makes a vital contribution to supporting the county’s tourism industry and visitors and local residents value the peace and tranquillity that the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park offers.”

Five community consultation events will be held across Pembrokeshire next week. From 2pm to 6pm there will be a public drop-in session, which will provide an opportunity for members of the public to contribute to the consultation.

Details of the events are as follows: Monday, October 20 – Tenby National Park Centre.

Tuesday, October 21 – Newport Memorial Hall.

Wednesday, October 22 – Oriel y Parc Gallery and Visitor Centre, St Davids.

Thursday, October 23 – Albany Church Hall, Haverfordwest.

Friday, October 24 – Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority Office, Pembroke Dock.
