FORGET the X Factor; a new singing group in Milford Haven is promising to deliver the ‘feel good factor’.

Milford Haven Youth Choir will hold its first rehearsal on Saturday, November 8, and singers aged between 10 and 18 are welcome.

Whatever your singing style and ability, singers are welcome to come down and have a go at performing in a group.

The weekly rehearsal will be leading up to a performance on December 19, as part of the Nine Lessons and Carols Service at St Katharine and St Peter's Church.

Organiser Clare Williams said: “Singing in a choir gives you the chance to meet people, to do something you enjoy together and to have fun!

“As well as an activity you can really enjoy, singing in a choir is also an opportunity to improve your skills and your confidence.

“If you enjoy singing or would like to have a go - this is for you. There is no need for any experience or an audition and everyone is welcome.

“We will be singing all sorts of different music but mostly very easy and all very fun. To start with we will be singing some lovely modern Christmas songs and will have the chance to show people how talented the young people of Milford Haven are.

“This is a really exciting opportunity for young people from across the town to get involved in some fun music-making.”

The first rehearsals takes place from 2pm until 4pm, at St Katharine and St Peter's Church Hall, Milford Haven, with regular rehearsals from 6pm to 7pm every Wednesday after that.
