JUNIOR Hubberston School reporters Kaitlyn and Lily explain how and why the students were helping raise money for Children in Need.

We did lots of fun activities to raise money to help children that are suffering. We also all came in dressed as a superhero or their personal hero. Altogether from cake sales all week, pound donations, a raffle and a penny trail, we raised £527.

Some people gave an extra 20p for another raffle tickets so that raised more money as well. In the morning we came in and did a Children In Need quiz. Kaitlyn and Nicole won so they got a free cake as a prize.

Then they went down to the hall for assembly and then the raffle was drawn and some different people from each class won a prize. After that we went out to play. When we went outside everyone looked at everyone’s costumes - It was such good fun!

After that we came back in from play and designed our own superhero Pudsey, and we got to show them on the white board and it would dance. Some people from Year 6 went down the hall to start the penny trail.

After lunch, we back we sat down in class and played some board games such as Monopoly and Cluedo.

It was all for Children In Need and it was fantastic knowing all the money was going to such a good cause.

Some people in Year 6 went down to the hall and counted all of the money from the penny trail. The coins in the penny trail were all 1p and 2p coins.

At the end of the day some people from went down to the hall to sell cakes to the parents. They stayed after school for a bit to sell all of the cakes which were brought in by the pupils. All of the cakes were absolutely delicious.

Everyone in Hubberston school had a very fun and very exhausting day, and it was all for charity!

Tune in next week to hear some news from Hubberston School!
